No Spare wheels
Exploring otherness through utensils designed for fictional hands without thumbs.
More info
No Spare Wheels explores the question of how life would unfold without thumbs. Presented as a collection of handcrafted utensils, the project speculates on alternative bodily possibilities. Using these objects requires relearning everyday gestures, reshaping our relation to the body, things, and otherness. Through performative dinner parties, participants discover new ways of eating and open conversations on difference and belonging. Developed with UZH Zurich, the project gathers experiences that challenge notions of normalcy and ability.
